BROOVIS TERMINAL
Support
Tell us where the workflow stopped so we can help you narrow it down.
Include the Terminal version from About, Android version, device model, the operation you tried and the exact error text. For a connection issue, include the protocol and whether the same host works from another authorized client. For a purchase issue, describe the Google Play action and include a non-secret reference if one is available.
Review and redact diagnostic exports before sending them. Keep passwords, private keys, recovery information, purchase tokens, QR codes and customer records out of support email.
- Set up a host profile
- Edit the screen in an active session
- Configure screen reformatting
- Set the local administrator password
- Scan into the intended field
- Transfer configuration with encrypted QR
- Manage subscription access
Set up a host profile
- From the profile list, choose New Profile. If editing is locked, ask the local administrator to unlock it.
- Enter a recognisable name and the host address, port, protocol and sign-in method supplied by your host administrator. Set the terminal type and encoding to match the host.
- Choose SSH or Telnet over TLS if the host supports it. Plain Telnet is unencrypted. Verify any SSH host key or TLS certificate with the administrator before trusting it.
- Check the Terminal, Keyboard, Screen, Security / TLS and Scanner sections as needed. Tap Save, open the saved profile and verify the expected host screen. If it fails, recheck reachability, port and protocol before editing credentials.
Edit the screen in an active session
- Connect to an authorised test host and wait for the target screen to settle. Use the reformatted view if you are in classic mode.
- Tap Edit Screen, authenticate once with the local administrator password, and confirm capture. Capture may contain host data, so use a test screen for training.
- Check the captured host scope and fields. Adjust labels, visibility, keypad type or mapped buttons, then preview. Preview does not send anything to the host.
- Choose Apply to draft, then Save and apply. Return to the session and verify the reformatted screen. Switch to the classic view if the rule does not match.
Configure screen reformatting
- Open Menu → Screen Reformatting and authenticate. Select an existing rule or create a new one, then set a name and host:port scope.
- In Preview, enter a local sample with labels and input fields. Adopt the preview match, then verify the exact screen signature and field count. A blank or transitional screen is unsuitable.
- Adjust field labels, visibility and key mappings. Use Dictionary and Translations for text overrides at the global or host level. Review the preview before applying it to the draft.
- Choose Save and apply to make the draft effective. If matching fails, check host scope, screen signature and field count, or use classic view. To move rules, export the reformat package. It excludes credentials, screen captures and subscription rights.
Set the local administrator password
On first start, create the administrator password for this device. It protects settings and sensitive changes. Use the in-app recovery entry if you have authorized recovery information. Contact your organization’s administrator if you cannot recover access.
Scan into the intended field
Open a session, focus the destination field and choose the rear-camera scanner or available hardware scanner. Grant camera permission when prompted if you use the camera. Check how the profile handles confirmation and submission. If scanning is unavailable, enter the value manually.
Transfer configuration with encrypted QR
Authenticate on the source device, select the settings to export and set a separate transfer password. On the receiving device, authenticate, scan all displayed QR parts and enter the transfer password. Review the changes before applying. The import can carry host login credentials and adopts the source administrator password after confirmation. Protect the codes and share the transfer password separately. Subscription rights and SSH private keys stay with their original installation.
Manage subscription access
When subscriptions become available, complete the purchase in Google Play and use the app’s subscription screen to restore an eligible purchase. Reconnect after renewal to refresh the signed offline entitlement. Configuration transfer, reinstallation and moving to another device each have separate effects on purchase ownership. Contact support before clearing app data if you need help with a purchase.
